But, true to his profession as a dance artist, he felt that something was still lacking even as dance pedagogue, realizing his need to create. This creative desire could not be ignored and forgotten. Upon founding the school together with his wife, soloist dancer Irene Sabas, he decided to create, initiating his career as choreographer. He then established the Ballet David Campos company, with which through the years he developed an exclusive classical and neoclassical repertory, with impeccable quality and distinct style.

David Campos® choreographies are known for its fresh touch, productions with great visual impact, combining and blending the classical with the modern, daring ideas but at the same time captivating, original pieces capable of generating a faithful and growing audience to the company performances.

Some of Campos ballets are new perceptions of old loved classics such as the timeless Nutcracker where poor children dream to have toys of the rich; the Sleeping Beauty as a young princess who wakes up in the 20th century; Don Quixote who travels looking for his love until arriving to Barcelona; or, a thrown antique Petrushka in a trash container like an old piece; and, the terrorific Giselle, looking for revenge and forgiveness at the same time. One can also enjoy original themes and ideas in many of Campos outstanding works, like: Turn me On and Eurasia, with original and live music, Rock Requiem (Metallica and Apocalypitca music), The Mask of the Red Death (Allan Poe), Carmina Burana, and Faust, among others.

For years, the unique and innovative ballet repertory of the Ballet David Campos has been acclaimed by the dance public and has received excellent reviews from the national and international press.

Invited by the renowned Bolshoi Ballet Academy of Moscow, he created pieces for two of the best graduate students of the school to bring to the Moscow Competition in 2013. Both candidates won the gold medal in this event.
